MY APPROACH
I LOOK FOR REAL MOMENTS & EMOTIONS & DOCUMENT YOUR STORY AS IT NATURALLY UNFOLDS
Nothing that you see in my portfolio is ‘posed’ or fake. I blend into your day as unobtrusively as possible and capture your story quietly and naturally as it unfolds. During the couples portraits, I offer a little gentle and very natural direction to help you relax and fully embrace the moment.
I invest time before your elopment getting to know you and understand what and who holds significance in your lives. Building trust between us is a crucial aspect of my approach, this trust allows me to create the space for you to truly be yourselves, and capture the genuine connection you share and the authenticity of emotions you experience throughout your day.
To me, your experience is as important as your photographs. Your day is as important to me as it is to you, from the day you you get in touch to the day you receive your photographs, and beyond.
A really important part of my approach is that I show up to your elopement as a ‘friend with cameras.’ So that I can make photos that really show how it felt in that moment, I need to be ‘in’ the action and not shooting ‘at’ the action. Gaining your trust and being a ‘part’ of your wedding, not ‘the hired help’ is an essential element to my approach.
I also come with lots of experience. I bring the calm when the nerves are building and the quiet when you are alone so I can capture the real connection between you! Whatever happens on your day, I’ve got your back.

My work is not light and airy, or bright and colourful.
My unique editing style has been developed over the years to bring emphasis to the emotion, connection and moment, turning your images into artworks that you can feel.
It is very important to me that you love my style, and that my work and approach is the perfect fit for you and your day. I meet up on zoom and chat with every couple prior to booking, so that you can be 100% sure of your decision.

She went out of her way to collect loads of information about our vision for the day, what ‘feel’ of pictures we wanted and our story- so she could ensure she captured exactly what we wanted.
She also included in the package a ‘Pre-wedding Shoot’ at a location of our choosing so that we became relaxed with her taking pictures of us. We could also see the way that she worked and we talked through the whole wedding day. Louise not only was our photographer, she guided us on her experience of where weddings have run really smoothly in the past, what we might want to consider and suggestions for things we hadn’t even thought about. Due to this, Louise was definitely one of the reasons that the day went perfectly- she was definitely part of the smooth running of the day!
The relationship she built up with us throughout the whole process was exceptional – she made the whole experience personal and we felt really special.
She is so so so talented – the pictures from our wedding beautifully capture the fun, love and relaxed vibe of our day – exactly what we had asked for. She did such an amazing job.

I adore capturing small weddings and elopements, they are so uniquely intimate and romantic.
I truly believe that it’s even more important to capture your whole elopement story, so that you can share your day with all those who aren’t there to celebrate with you, and have a lasting memory of such a uniquely special and intimate time together.
There are so many beautiful moments when you help each other get dressed, when you explore your chosen location together and when you dine together… these all are intrinsic to your day and a huge part of your story.
