I grew up in my family’s printing business, surrounded by beautiful papers and old letterpress printing presses, so I am a massive believer in print! I love it! But there is no denying that there is something so beautiful and tangible about the printed image… Slowly leafing through your album together or with your family and reminiscing is an experience that a digital gallery just cannot replicate.

When I photograph your wedding my purpose is to tell the story of your day and I work with your final album in mind. The images need to make sense visually, like the storyboard of a movie, to convey the narrative of the day from the scene-setting details, the emotion and joy in all the candid, natural moments, your beautiful portraits and to all the fun of the party!
My Fine Art Albums are hand-bound using the finest quality cover materials, papers and inks.
Images are printed directly on to the page with archival quality inks and each double spread opens out flat with an almost invisible crease so your photographs can be displayed across a whole spread.
HANDCRAFTED BOX
Each album comes with a gorgeous handcrafted presentation box incorporating the same cover and personalisation with beautiful linen lining the inside and sides of the box.

THE DESIGN PROCESS
To achieve a beautiful, not cramped, album design I advise choosing around 50 – 60 photographs for your 20 page/10 spread album. But there is no restriction on the number of images, we can always add additional spreads to accommodate more images.
When selecting your photographs, do bear in mind that your album is the final, perfect edit of all your hundreds of wedding photographs, so it’s best to resist the temptation to stuff it with as many photographs as possible. Too many pictures will dilute the impact of the very best ones. Albums also look better when the photographs are not too crowded on the page. For the most beautiful, impactful layouts it is always better to add pages than squeeze too many onto each page.
Remember to choose photographs from all parts of the day and choose different and complimentary photos to tell the story of your day, rather than two shots that are almost the same – unless they create a sequence that you would love to include.
Here’s a quick summary of the process…
STEP I
Message me your album options and choose your photographs from your client gallery – I’ll send you a link to request your albums selections.
STEP II
The fun bit!
I’ll send you a request via your gallery to choose your favourite photos. Take your time, snuggle up together and enjoy the process of reliving your wedding day as you browse your gallery to choose the images that you feel best tell the story of your day for you and for your future generations.
STEP III
I’ll design the album around your favourites. I may add in other incidental shots to help with telling the story or to help with the layout.
I’ll send you the design to review and make any changes to the layout or the choice of images. We can do this as many times as required until you are totally happy with the final design.
STEP IV
Scroll down to see the colour choices for either fabric or leather cover options.
You can click the thumbnails for a larger image and the personalisation options available for that cover material and colour.
Further down you can see the cover printing options and the different fonts.
STEP V
When you are happy with the final design and you’ve chosen your cover, the text for the front of the album, the personalisation style and the font the artwork will be sent off for printing and binding.
This takes about 4 weeks and the finished album will be sent to you by courier.
